Duration: 11 Hours (approx.) Getting from Bocas del Toro, Panama to San José, Costa Rica has never been easier. We take care of everything. We even throw in lunch. We will pick you up at the Taxi Valencia dock, You will take a 30 minute boat ride past some beautiful islands and mangroves to Almirante, where you will board one of our air conditioned late model shuttle vans direct to the border. From there we have our guides assist you with the immigration process leaving Panamá and checking into Costa Rica. We then drive direct to Banana Azul where you will spend an hour or two enjoying this beautiful little resort hotel on the beach in Puerto Viejo, and having your choice of a Chicken or veggie Wrap for lunch. From here we pick you up and make the 5 1/2 hour trip direct to la Fortuna area hotels. Itinerary: 8:00 am to 8:30 am: Check in at Caribe Shuttle desk (Valencia dock) 8:30 am to 9:00 am: Boat travel to Almirante 9:00 am to 10:00 am: Travel to border 10:00 am to 11:00 am: Border crossing 10:00 am to 11:00 am: Travel to Puerto Viejo (Costa Rica time) 11:00 am to 12:00 noon: lunch at Banana Azul (Included) 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm: Travel to Fortuna 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm: Hotel drop offs in la Fortuna area REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER COSTA RICA The entry requirements for tourists are: Valid passport. With no less than 6 months to expire Round-trip ticket or reservation showing an eventual departure from Costa Rica via air. IMPORTANT NOTES: Please have your passport, Health pass QR code and printed flight itinerary with you for immigration officials. Your flight can be from anywhere in Central America back to your home country, but must be within 90 days of the border crossing. Pick-up time is an estimate and may vary by 15 minutes either direction. Clients should be waiting at the assigned pick up point 15 minutes before the assigned pick-up time. The shuttle will wait for clients a maximum of 5 minutes. If after that waiting period the client is not on board, the shuttle will leave without the client and the client will NOT receive a refund. You are allowed 1 large bag or backpack and 1 carry on size (computer bag) per person. There is a $22 fee for each extra piece of luggage, odd or over size/weight luggage, surfboard bag (max. 9’ between CR and Bocas).
Cancellation Policy: - ETA LIMTD. will retain a 10% administration fee or US$15 per order (not per ticket), whichever is higher on all cancellations requested more than 48 hours before departure. - NO REFUND will be given on cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure. Itinerary Changes: - Changes made to itineraries more than 48 hours prior to departure date will be accepted free of charge. - A 20% fee will be charged on changes made to itineraries less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours prior to departure date. - NO REFUND will be given for changes to itineraries made less than 24 hours prior to departure date. In other words, the client will have to purchase a new ticket. - All itinerary changes are subject to availability. “No Shows” will not receive a refund. The shuttle vehicle will only wait 5 minutes in the assigned pick up places. If a passenger fails to show up five minutes past the assigned pick-up time, this will result in a No Show status and the passenger will not receive a refund. All itinerary changes are subject to availability. - Pick-Up Times are approximate as we at ETA LIMTD. cannot know at the time your reservation is confirmed what other pick-ups may be reserved, and some pick-ups take longer than others. Please be ready to go at the schedule Pick-Up Place 10 minutes prior to your scheduled Pick-Up Time, and do not be surprised if the van does not arrive for 15 minutes after your Pick-Up Time. - The driver will only wait for clients at the scheduled Pick Up Place for 5 minutes. After that, if clients are not on board, the driver will leave without the clients who will be considered a NO SHOW, and the client will NOT receive a refund. - Rates include one standard piece of luggage and one carry-on. Extra luggage must be reserved with ETA LIMTD. in advance. To know the fees for extra/oversized/odd luggage/surfboards, etc, please ask your sales agent. Luggage not approved and paid for in advance can be refused at pick up time at our sole discretion, and no refund will be given.
